What does this site do?
shrta.com helps in uploading your files simultaneously to various free file hosting providers. All you have to do is to upload your file to our server once and then it gets automatically uploaded to file hosting sites like Rapidshare,Megaupload,Sendspace,Filefactory etc. Once the file is uploaded to our server, you will be given the link to the download page which contains the all the download links.

What are the benefits of using shrta?

How do I upload a file?
Go to shrta.com and click the Browse button near the middle of the page. A file dialog box will appear on your screen. Select a file you want to upload. You can upload upto 3 files at a time. Then click the Upload button and wait for your file to finish uploading. That's it, the rest is done by us.

What is the maximum upload size?
The maximum allowed file size for normal uploading is 200MB where as it is 100MB for remote uploading.

Where is the Download Link?
After upload process to our server is over, the download link will be displayed. You can share this link with your friends or post it in forums etc.

Why some download links show failed?
While uploading, some file host may be down temporarily. We do retry and if its not successful even after two attempts the file status is changed to Failed. If you try after few minutes it should probably work. Alternately you can check that particular file host website to see if there is any problem. Also, some files may be already blacklisted on the hosting sites which will be shown as failed status.

How long is a link valid on shrta?
We dont delete shrta links as long as it receives visitors in previous 90 days or your file isn't a violation of our terms .

Can I copy/paste download links directly rather than sharing shrta link?
No, please always share shrta.com download link. shrta.com is a free service and running these kinds of sites require huge server cost. We rely on advertising to cover the running fee. So please show your support by sharing shrta link instead of using individual download links.

What will happen if I copy all the links and dont use the shrta.com link?
We do appreciate you to pass the shrta link along. If your link does not receive visitors over X period of time, you risk getting your files deleted from the hosting sites. Further if you are a site admin using the name of your site in the file name, the particular site name will be added to our "banned keyword list". Files containing banned keywords cannot be uploaded to shrta.

What is notify by email feature?
It's an optional feature which sends you an email with the link to the download page and the status of the upload. This is useful when you are uploading a large file, enter your email before uploading, and you won't need to wait for the entire upload process to be completed. The email you receive will contain the link to the download page and the status of the uploads.

Do you spam or sell my email address?
No! We respect your privacy and takes care to protect all your personal info.

I lost my download links/I forgot to copy download link after uploading. What should I do?
Please send us a message through the contact page giving the exact names of the uploaded file. Though we cannot gurantee, we will try to retrieve the download links for you.

I'll pay you, can you please add my file hosting site to your mirrors list?
No, we do not add any sponsored mirrors to our list. We only add established file hosting sites so as to maintain the quality of our service.

Why does it say Sorry, uploading a file with name(s) ****** is not allowed anymore! when I try to upload a file?
There can be two reasons for this.
- Filename consists of banned keywords.
- Your filename contains a website URL which didn't share shrta.com link, instead copied individual download links. So the website name is added to our banned keywords list. You may contact us to get it unbanned.

Where should I report copyright infringement?
